Inconvenient Disparities
Governments are wise to promote excellence, demand accountability and protect opportunity and equality under the law. It takes a united effort to achieve American greatness. E pluribus unum should be led by the government and encouraged to be more than just a slogan but rather a way of life. But we can’t do that with our eyes closed. We must be willing to see disparities that leave people behind and then take necessary and effective action now to address them. To do less dishonors our past and jeopardizes our future.
